Is this too long for a wedding procession?
My wedding party goes as follows: people coming from both sides(victorian style)…
1st flower girl & ring-bearer walk to middle
maid of honour & best man walk to middle
3 bridesmaids together & 1st groomsman walk to middle
3 more bridesmaids together & 2nd groomsman walk to middle
matron of honour & 3rd groomsman walk to middle
2nd flower girl & vicar walk to middle
bride & groom walk to middle
The song I’m planning on walking down the aisle to is 5 minutes 45 seconds.
Does this sound like the timing, as far as the processional to the music, would match up? And for an outdoor wedding how long is average/normal length for an “aisle” to walk down?

I don’t think it will take that long for everyone to get down. If it’s a really long aisle, I would have the second group of people start walking BEFORE the first group have got to the end-no one wants to watch 3 people take ages to walk down a really long aisle. So that will cut the time down. If I were you I’d have the music fade out as the last group get to the end, so the song stops as they stop. Almost six minutes is a really long time for your guests to watch people walk really slowly.
