Red Country Ale

Red Country Ale
What are some new beers to try?

Some people like to go wine tasting, I like to go beer tasting and I’m always looking for new beers to try. I prefer ales but also like lagers and stouts. The darker and stronger the better, but I like a lot of variety. My faves are: Smithwicks, Guinness Extra Stout, Harp, Sam Adams Black Lager, Sam Adams White Ale, Sierra Nevada Summerfest, Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale, Yuengling Lager, Rogue Dead Guy Ale, Lienenkugels Honey Weiss, Lienenkugels Berry Weiss, Red Hook ESB, Goose Island IPA, and yeah, I can go on forever . . .

I live in Northern California, but if you know beer, by looking at my faves you can tell that I obviously get around the country, so your suggestions don’t necessarily need to be ones that I can get in my area.

Thank you ahead of time! :)

Pilsener Urquell is a favorite of mine–I’m a big fan of the Czech beers. Another good Czech beer is Staropramen–it’s a little less hoppy than Urquell. There’s plenty of good Canadian beers as well–try Steam Whistle Pilsener or Amsterdam. Mill Street is great as well–try their Tank House Ale or Coffee Porter.
